Forever 21 is finally coming to Paris!! I don’t know why I am so excited about this because I am not a strong fan of theirs, but whenever I need something fast and cheap, I can rely on F21 to deliver.
The new store is scheduled to open its doors on October 26 in the 1st arrondissement on rue de Rivoli. Surrounding neighbors, Aldo, Zara, Minelli, and Sephora will most likely see a boost in foot traffic from the fast-fashion chain opening. I’m sure we can expect the same crowd as the last store opening just outside of Paris.
Even though the open date isn’t for another week, I have already seen some girls sporting their yellow bags around the city. The iconic yellow bag is a great example of brand color recognition. Do you know of any other stores that have yellow bags? I think its funny that you don’t think twice about the yellow bag, but from the first glance you know the store and some immediate thoughts have past through your head about it.
Forever 21 has three main colors that dictate the brand; white, black and yellow. Their condensed sans serif font looks bold against any background they choose. Below, you can see the different color combinations they currently use.
Aside from their simple, yet effective logo, their advertisements anything but. They are cluttered with various products from F21, but they are organized by category. For example, the ad below has the story line of Tale of 2 Cities, its the LA Girl vs NY Girl. This fashion battle invites users to identify themselves with either girl and shop the corresponding collection behind the inspiration.
This next ad is another fashion story, the Dream Team. Playing off of a popular basketball term, the Dream Team collection is a collage of athletic inspired womens wear that has a collegiate feel around them. (Deja vu PINK by Victoria Secret)…
Love them or hate them, Forever 21 is going to continue to grow. Although they haven’t quite reached H&M status, they are still the guilty pleasure for fast, cheap trendy clothes. Just hide your yellow bag in your purse so no one knows you were there 🙂
